Caner torna in Turchia per partecipare alla commemorazione del quinto anniversario della morte della madre e viene accolto all’aeroporto dal padre Muharrem, che non vedeva da tempo. Il ragazzo, studente universitario in Germania, intrapre un lungo viaggio verso la campagna turca per partecipare alla commemorazione, dove tutti i parenti si riuniranno per celebrare riti religiosi con il padre, che ritiene responsabile della morte della madre.
Caner returns to Turkey to attend the fifth anniversary memorial of his mother’s death and is met at the airport by his father, Muharrem, whom he has not seen in a long time. A university student in Germany, the young man embarks on a long journey into the Turkish countryside to attend the memorial, where all the relatives will gather to perform religious rites with his father, whom he holds responsible for his mother’s death.
