Academy Award winner Cuba Gooding Jr. will receive the Ischia Global Award on Saturday, July 18, during the Grand Gala of the 24th edition of the Ischia Global Film & Music Festival, held at the Albergo della Regina Isabella in Lacco Ameno.
The announcement was made by Pascal Vicedomini, founder and producer of the international festival.
Gooding Jr. won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his iconic portrayal of Rod Tidwell in Jerry Maguire. The American actor recently wrapped filming on Padilla, a film in which he stars alongside Carolina Guerra, a past recipient of the Ischia Rising Star of the Year Award.
“Cuba Gooding Jr. is an actor of immense talent, energy, and charisma, who has carved out a prominent place in American cinema and won over international audiences,” stated Vicedomini. “We are thrilled to welcome him to Ischia and to celebrate his prestigious career, which is further enriched today by a significant project like Padilla—a film that brings together cinema, history, and cultural identity. His presence confirms the international scope of our festival and Ischia’s role as a bridge between Hollywood, Europe, and the Mediterranean.”
The same evening will feature the Clive Davis Memorial, a tribute to the legendary American record executive and music producer who shaped the history of international music and launched the careers of some of the world’s greatest artists.
Welcoming guests and presenting awards will be Honorary Presidents Trudie Styler, Jim Sheridan, and Tony Renis, alongside Oscar winner Alessandro Bertolazzi, Chairman of the 2026 edition.
The 24th Ischia Global Film & Music Festival continues with screenings, panel discussions, premieres, and awards dedicated to the stars of international cinema and music.
