Great success at the Ischia Global Film & Music Festival for the screening of “Il mio nome è Riccardo Cocciante”, the first docufilm dedicated to the life of the celebrated artist. The work was presented in Piazza Santa Restituta in Lacco Ameno in the presence of the artist and director Stefano Salvati. On the same occasion, as part of the conclusion of this year’s edition of the festival, the Master was also honored with a prestigious award.
Produced by Raffaella Tommasi for Daimon Film in collaboration with Rai Documentari, the docufilm is currently available on RaiPlay in the Documentaries section. The film traces Cocciante’s life—whose existence has always been inextricably linked to music—from his birth to his most recent projects, seamlessly blending his personal and professional spheres through rare archival footage and unpublished vintage photographs.
Additionally, for the first time, graphic elements in the film were integrated with AI-generated content, enhancing archival footage of Cocciante’s early life alongside numerous interviews.
From Laura Pausini to Gianna Nannini, from Elodie to Achille Lauro, as well as Mogol and Fiorella Mannoia, the voices of colleagues and friends complete a well-rounded portrait of a timeless composer. The docufilm offers an intimate look at the multifaceted artist through his first-person account of memories, challenges, and an extraordinary international career.
