Durante le estati infinite che Eva e Maria trascorrono al lago, l’unica cosa che non le stanca mai è guardare i ragazzi sulla riva. Maria non riesce a smettere di fissarli. Eva è più discreta, si sdraia sulla schiena e non li guarda mai direttamente. Delle due, è lei quella più sveglia, e più di una volta è finita a letto con qualcuno, o almeno così dice. Maria, invece, prima di quell’anno, non aveva mai pensato ai ragazzi in quel modo.
During the endless summers Eva and Maria spend at the lake, the one thing they never get tired of is watching the boys on the shore. Maria can’t stop staring at them. Eva is more discreet; she lies on her back and never looks at them directly. Of the two, she’s the more worldly one, and more than once she’s ended up in bed with someone—or so she says. Maria, on the other hand, had never thought about boys that way before that summer.
