Tribute to the King of Pop Scheduled for July 12 with the Italian Fan Club, Samuel Santarelli, and Lucrezia Lando
ISCHIA, July 6 — The legend of Michael Jackson will come to life on Sunday, July 12, at the Ischia Global Film & Music Festival with a special tribute dedicated to the King of Pop.
The screening of Antoine Fuqua’s film Michael (the director was previously honored in Ischia in 2019) will kick off the festival’s special events at the Cinema Teatro Excelsior. Following the screening, Piazza San Girolamo will host the “Tribute to the King of Pop,” featuring the Michael Jackson Italian Fan Club, choreographer and dancer Samuel Santarelli, showgirl Lucrezia Lando, and the Quisisona Band.

“This is a deeply meaningful event for everyone, and particularly for me, as I had the opportunity to interact with Michael Jackson several times throughout his marvelous career,” stated Pascal Vicedomini, founder and producer of the Ischia Global Festival. The festival is the highlight of the international summer cinema season, promoted with the support of the Italian Ministry of Culture (DG Cinema and Audiovisual) and the Campania Region through the Film Commission.

Among the other events already announced for this 24th edition are the memorial for the equally legendary record producer Clive J. Davis at the Regina Isabella on Saturday the 18th, and the tribute to Gino Paoli and Ornella Vanoni on Wednesday the 15th in Casamicciola Terme.
