“Sotto le nuvole” tells the stories of lives unfolding on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius, where the present is viewed through the lens of the past and antiquity merges with contemporary reality. Archaeologists and artists, scholars and shopkeepers, tourists and scientists, believers and indifferent bystanders all live beneath the volcano.
