Ischia Global Film, 120 star nel segno del dialogo e rispetto
6-13 luglio, 180 titoli, con Styler, Feig, Sheridan, Nero, Bauer
Centoventi star in arrivo nel Golfo di Napoli, con una 23/a edizione dedicata ai temi del dialogo tra i popoli, del rispetto e della solidarietà: torna il Global Film & Music Festival, dal 6 al 13 luglio, con Hollywood protagonista. Tra le anteprime europee: Conspiracy of Fear di Kayla Tabish con Steven Bauer e Malcom McDowell e quella italiana di Tornado di JohnMaclean con Tim Roth.
Proposti 180 titoli, con ingresso libero al pubblico al Cinema Excelsior di Ischia Porto al delle Vittorie di Forio, nelle piazze di Casamicciola e Lacco Ameno con selezione sulle piattaforme Mymovies.it e Eventive.org.
Chairperson è la regista americana Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight), a seguire i giovani talenti c’è il maestro irlandese Jim Sheridan, colonne del festival sono da sempre Franco Nero, fresco di Stella sulla Walk of Fame hollywoodiana, e Trudie Styler, così come gli Oscar Bille August, Nick Vallelonga, Alessandro Bertolazzi. Premi anche allo scenografo Crispian Sallis (candidato tre volte all’Oscar), al regista Paul Feig (filmaker dell’anno), agli attori Steven Bauer e Mike Markoff, a Dario D’Ambrosi anima del Teatro Patologico. Tra gli italiani Martina Scrinzi, Lina Sastri, Francesco Di Leva col figlio Mario, Peppe Lanzetta, Lorenzo De Moor, Corrado Fortuna, Donatella Finocchiaro, Giovanni Esposito, attese anche Karla Sofia Gascon e Ella Rae Smith.
“Siamo nel corso di un’estate molto particolare per l’intera umanità – sottolinea Pascal Vicedomini, fondatore del festival -. I conflitti che tengono in allerta il mondo, unitamente a tanti altri fatti critici, lasciano poco spazio alla celebrazione dei talenti e delle opere cinematografiche e musicali. Eppure l’industria dello spettacolo deve andare avanti con determinazione per contribuire a promuovere la pace e soprattutto la cultura, tra i deterrenti più efficaci per placare ogni genere di dissidio. Dal 2003 insieme alla famiglia Carriero, a Tony Renis, Franco Nero, alle compiante Lina Wertmuller e Marina Cicogna e successivamente ad Aurelio de Laurentiis, Sting e Trudie Styler portiamo avanti un progetto-evento a beneficio del talento di tanti giovani nel mito dei maestri che hanno contribuito a scrivere la storia dello showbiz globale”.
“Tutti parlano ora dell’intelligenza artificiale – sottolinea ancora Vicedomini -, noi a Ischia lo facciamo già da tre anni attraverso il ragionamento di ogni genere di professionista del settore. Oggi le priorità sono invece altre ovvero quello di promuovere la solidarietà verso chi ha bisogno e soprattutto il rispetto umano contro bullismo e prevaricazione”. Che saranno i temi al centro dei Global Production Summit. Organizzato dall’Accademia Internazionale Arte Ischia, il festival, prodotto da Pascal Vicedomini, è promosso il sostegno della direzione generale Cinema e Audiovisivo del MiC e della Regione Campania con il patrocinio del ministero del Turismo e la partecipazione di Enit insieme a Givova, Rainbow e Caremar.

One hundred and twenty stars are set to arrive in the Gulf of Naples for the 23rd edition of the Ischia Global Film & Music Festival, dedicated this year to themes of dialogue among peoples, respect, and solidarity. From July 6 to 13, the spotlight shines once again on Hollywood.
Among the European premieres: Conspiracy of Fear by Kayla Tabish, starring Steven Bauer and Malcolm McDowell, and the Italian premiere of Tornado by John Maclean with Tim Roth.
A total of 180 titles will be screened, with free admission for the public at the Cinema Excelsior in Ischia Porto, the Delle Vittorie cinema in Forio, and in the town squares of Casamicciola and Lacco Ameno. A selection of films will also be available online via MYmovies.it and Eventive.org.
This year’s Chairperson is American director Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight), while the Ischia Film Contest for emerging talents will be led by Irish master Jim Sheridan. Longtime icons of the festival include Franco Nero—recently awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame—and Trudie Styler, as well as Academy Award winners Bille August, Nick Vallelonga, and Alessandro Bertolazzi.
Honorees this year include:
- Crispian Sallis, three-time Oscar-nominated production designer
- Paul Feig, Filmmaker of the Year
- Steven Bauer and Mike Markoff, actors
- Dario D’Ambrosi, founder of Teatro Patologico
Among the Italian stars expected: Martina Scrinzi, Lina Sastri, Francesco Di Leva with his son Mario, Peppe Lanzetta, Lorenzo De Moor, Corrado Fortuna, Donatella Finocchiaro, and Giovanni Esposito. Also attending: Karla Sofía Gascón and Ella Rae Smith.
“This is a very particular summer for all of humanity,” said Pascal Vicedomini, founder of the festival. “Ongoing global conflicts and crises leave little room to celebrate art and talent. Yet, the entertainment industry must move forward—promoting peace and culture, which remain among the most powerful tools to counter division and violence. Since 2003, alongside the Carriero family, Tony Renis, Franco Nero, the late Lina Wertmüller and Marina Cicogna, and later Aurelio De Laurentiis, Sting, and Trudie Styler, we have carried forward this project in support of young talent and the legacy of great masters of show business.”
“Everyone is talking about artificial intelligence now,” Vicedomini added, “but here at Ischia we’ve been engaging with industry professionals on this topic for three years already. Today, however, our priorities must be solidarity with those in need, and above all, human respect, as an answer to bullying and abuse.”
These values will also be central to the Global Production Summit.
The festival is produced by Pascal Vicedomini and organized by the Accademia Internazionale Arte Ischia, with the support of the Directorate-General for Cinema and Audiovisual of the Italian Ministry of Culture, the Campania Region, the Ministry of Tourism, and ENIT, in partnership with Givova, Rainbow, and Caremar.
