NAPLES, Italy, January 28 2021 — The 19th edition of the Ischia Global Film & Music Festival, Italy’s highly anticipated annual summer gathering of the international audiovisual industry, will take place this year from July 18 to 25 on the heels of the Cannes Film Festival, which has been delayed for two months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Ischia Global 2021 will be a Festival of rebirth, confident as we are that mass vaccinations will help speed up the relaunch of the Italian entertainment industry,” said the famed music producer Tony Renis, who will be joined by British actresses-producers Trudie Styler and Carolina Rosi as chairs of the Festival which was founded and is directed by Pascal Vicedomini in collaboration with the Ischia International Arts Academy and with the support of the Director General for Cinema and Audiovisual of Italy’s Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Activities and Tourism as well as the Campania Region.
“The festival will be rich with films on the big screen as well as concerts, forums, exhibitions and tributes to some of the most celebrated artists of the year. All of these events will be held under strict pandemic safety measures and the supervision by the Red Cross who since last year’s Festival have become most welcome festival regulars,” added Renis who also commented on the delay of the Cannes Film Festival: “This is amazing news! We are thrilled at the idea of this relay race with Cannes which will enable many celebrities and creative atists to travel from the Cote d’Azur to the Gulf of Naples, stopping over at Procida, that is going to be named 2022’s Italian Capital of Culture. Hurray!”
RENIS: ISCHIA GLOBAL 2021 FESTIVAL DELLA RINASCITA
Dal 18 al 25 luglio la 19.ma edizione del Global Film & Music sull’Isola campana
Napoli, 27 gen. 21 – La 19.ma edizione dell’Ischia Global Film & Music Festival, avrà luogo dal 18 al 25 luglio 2021. L’attesa kermesse internazionale dell’industria dell’audiovisivo, quest’anno, seguirà cronologicamente il Festival di Cannes che ha annunciato lo slittamento di due mesi a causa della pandemia.
“Ischia Global 2021 sarà il Festival della rinascita e siamo tutti fiduciosi sul buon andamento delle vaccinazioni per celebrare in quella data il rilancio dell’industria dello spettacolo nella Penisola” dichiara il produttore Tony Renis, che insieme all’attrice e produttrice inglese Trudie Styler e all’attrice e produttrice Carolina Rosi, preside la manifestazione fondata e diretta da Pascal Vicedomini, in collaborazione con l’Accademia Internazionale Arte Ischia ed il sostegno della DG Cinema del Mibact e della Regione Campania.
“Tante proiezioni di film, sul grande schermo (se Dio vorrà), ma anche concerti, forum, mostre e l’omaggio agli artisti dell’anno in grande sicurezza, e quindi con la consueta supervisione degli amici della Croce Rossa Italiana che ci sono stati vicini anche nell’ultima edizione” aggiunge Renis che a proposito dello spostamento di Cannes dice “Meraviglioso, la staffetta con Cannes ci esalta. Vorrà dire che tanti Big dello spettacolo si sposteranno dalla Costa Azzurra al Golfo di Napoli con piu’ facilità del passato. E poi sarà una gioia cominciare a tirare la volata a Procida, capitale italiana della cultura 2022. Evviva…”.
