ISCHIA, June 22 – Andrew Garfield, one of today’s most respected and popular actors, will receive The Ischia Legend Award on Saturday July 16 – and cap off the closing night of the 21st edition of the 2022 Ischia Global Film and Music Festival.
Garfield, has previously received a Tony Award (Angels in America), a Golden Globe (Tick, Tick, Boom) and nominated for two Academy Awards (Tick, Tick, Boom and Hacksaw Ridge) . Garfied gained wide recognition for playing Spider-Man in the superhero franchise’s The Amazing Spider Man (1 and 2), Spider-Man; No Way Home.
“We are so thrilled that Andrew Garfield, one of today’s most gifted actors, will be with us at Ischia Global this year,” said founder and producer Pascal Vicedomini.“ I can’t think of a more fitting way to honor him and present him with our highest honor, the Legend Award.”
Over the years the festival has been the destination for other industry powerhouses including Gerard Butler, Michael Fassbender, Channing Tatum, Anthony Mackie, Jack Huston, Jessica Chastain, Selena Gomez, Lily Collins among others. Ischia 2022 is chaired by Jim Sheridan and Trudie Styler.
Ischia Global Film and Music Festival promoted by the Italian Ministry of Culture, Campania Region, the Ischia International Arts Academy along with Riflessi Tatatu, Givova and RS Productions.
