One of the most significant moments of the 24th edition of the Ischia Global Film & Music Festival (July 12–19) will be dedicated to Gino Paoli and Ornella Vanoni. The tribute will take place on Wednesday, July 15, in Casamicciola Terme. The announcement was made today by the Mayor of Casamicciola, Giosi Ferrandino, and the festival’s producer, Pascal Vicedomini.

Lina Sastri, accompanied by Maestro Adriano Pennino, and Gino Paoli’s historic band, led by Dario Picone, will pay tribute to two artists who helped write unforgettable chapters in Ischia’s cultural history. Invited guests also include Paola Penzo, wife of Gino Paoli.
Paoli and Vanoni have been tied to the “Green Island” since the early years of their artistic youth, when they performed at historic venues such as the Rancio Fellone and the Castiglio d’Aragona, contributing to an unrepeatable era of music, entertainment, and glamour that made Ischia famous worldwide.
The tribute will also look back at some of the most moving moments in the festival’s recent history: Gino Paoli’s 2013 concert at the Regina Isabella, which received a standing ovation from Sting and Trudie Styler in the front row, and his meaningful onstage meeting at the same venue with Antonello Venditti and their friend, entrepreneur Giancarlo Carriero. This memory is also tied to the Roman evening that brought together Sting, Bruce Springsteen, and Gino Paoli, symbolizing the international spirit of Ischia Global.
