ISCHIA, 14/07/2026 – An extraordinary and deeply emotional evening lit up the stage of the Ischia Global Fest yesterday, beautifully bridging the fresh energy of a young rising talent and the giants of international music.

The evening opened with a segment dedicated entirely to a rising star. The very young guitarist Jacopo Mastrangelo, who became a symbol of hope during the pandemic with his historic performances from a terrace overlooking a deserted Piazza Navona in Rome, received a prestigious award. Presenting the honor was Phil Palmer, a world-renowned guitarist and a true legend of the international music scene.

The spotlight then turned to the elegance and charisma of Lola Ponce. The Argentine singer and actress enchanted the audience with a magnetic and deeply intense performance, singing the extraordinary piece “E più ti penso”, written by Tony Renis, Ennio Morricone, and Mogol. Her performance, which beautifully fused profound lyrics and masterful songwriting, culminated in the presentation of her award by Tony Renis himself.

The night reached its peak with the award presented to Andrea Morricone, son of the unforgettable Academy Award-winning composer Ennio Morricone. The composer gifted the audience a moment of pure magic, taking his place at the piano to perform the immortal notes born from his father’s genius, a spine-tingling tribute that united different generations under the banner of timeless music.
