Attraverso le testimonianze dirette degli abitanti, delle famiglie sfollate e di chi ha scelto di restare, il film restituisce il volto umano della tragedia, andando oltre la cronaca dell’emergenza. Tra memoria, dolore e speranza, Oltre Ischia segue il lento processo di ricostruzione materiale e interiore della comunità, mettendo al centro il rapporto tra uomo, territorio e responsabilità collettiva.
The documentary explores the island of Ischia in the aftermath of the devastating landslide that struck Casamicciola Terme in November 2022. Through firsthand testimonies of residents and displaced families, the film moves beyond news coverage to portray the human dimension of the tragedy. Between loss and resilience, Oltre Ischia follows the community’s struggle to rebuild both physically and emotionally, reflecting on the bond between people, land and collective responsibility.
