Katinka e le sue due sorelle vivono con la madre Marlies in una fattoria di latte nel sud della Germania. Katinka, che va ancora a scuola, sogna di diventare anch’essa contadina, ma il futuro della fattoria sembra destinato al fratello Adrian. Tra difficoltà economiche legate al mercato del latte, tensioni familiari e il declino dell’agricoltura tradizionale, la famiglia cerca di restare unita in un’estate che mette a confronto aspirazioni personali e realtà rurale.
Katinka and her two sisters live with their mother Marlies on a dairy farm in rural Germany. As Katinka, still a student, dreams of becoming a farmer herself, the future of the farm is expected to go to her brother Adrian. Against the backdrop of economic challenges in the dairy industry, family tensions and the decline of traditional farming, the family strives to stay together during a summer that confronts personal aspirations with rural reality.
