Synopsis:
Chiara is a teacher at John Dewey High School in Brooklyn and a promising boxer training at the legendary Gleason’s Gym. Raised in a troubled Italian-American family in Bensonhurst, she sees boxing as her only chance for redemption. After a short but extraordinary career marked by nothing but victories, a devastating accident in the ring forces her to retire, shattering her dream of becoming featherweight champion. At the darkest moment of her life, Chiara discovers a powerful spiritual faith that pushes her to rise again. Against medical advice, she decides to return to the ring, risking her life to pursue the ambition that defines her.
Chiara è insegnante alla John Dewey High School di Brooklyn e talentuosa pugile della leggendaria Gleason’s Gym.
