In una sera di pioggia una donna si presenta alla stazione di polizia in cerca di aiuto: è stata aggredita e le è stato sottratto il figlio. Il giorno dopo il cadavere di uno dei rapitori viene trovato in aperta campagna. Il poliziotto indaga per ritrovare il bambino i colpevoli del rapimento, ma il termine delle sue indagini si troverà di fronte ad un’amara verità.
