Ischia, July 7, 2025 – A vibrant and star-studded evening officially launched the 2025 edition of the Ischia Global Film & Music Festival. During the traditional Opening Gala on July 6, in the scenic Piazza Santa Restituta of Lacco Ameno, the first major awards of the season were presented.
Acclaimed American director Paul Feig was honored with the Ischia Filmmaker of the Year Award for his latest movie “Another Simple Favor”, shot between Rome and Capri and presented in preview on the island. The award celebrates Feig’s unique ability to blend humor, elegance, and emotional depth in his storytelling.
Laura Fischer, producer of the film, received the Ischia Producer of the Year Award in recognition of her crucial role in bringing this ambitious international project to life.
Young actor Lorenzo De Moor, who stars in the film, was awarded the Golden Youth of the Year, a title that highlights his promising talent and expressive sensitivity on screen.
The evening, hosted by Pascal Vicedomini, featured the presence of distinguished guests including Catherine Hardwicke (2025 Chairperson), Tony Renis (Honorary Chairman), Franco Nero (Ischia Academy Honorary Board) and Giovanni Acanfora, President of Givova, the festival’s main partner.
Una serata ricca di emozioni e grandi ospiti ha inaugurato ufficialmente l’edizione 2025 dell’Ischia Global Film & Music Festival. Durante il tradizionale Gala di apertura, tenutosi il 6 luglio nella suggestiva Piazza Santa Restituta di Lacco Ameno, sono stati consegnati i primi prestigiosi riconoscimenti dell’anno.
Il regista americano Paul Feig ha ricevuto l’Ischia Filmmaker of the Year Award per il suo ultimo film “Another Simple Favor”, girato tra Roma e Capri, presentato in anteprima alla presenza del pubblico dell’isola. Un riconoscimento che celebra la sua capacità di coniugare leggerezza, ironia e profondità narrativa.
Laura Fischer, produttrice del film, è stata premiata con l’Ischia Producer of the Year Award, per il suo ruolo chiave nel portare a compimento un progetto cinematografico di respiro internazionale.
