SABATO 19 LUGLIO GALA COL FILM-TRIBUTO AGLI ABBA ISCHIA 31/05/07 – Il mito degli Abba rivivrà sabato 19 luglio al Regina Isabella di Ischia in occasione dell’anteprima italiana di “Mamma Mia!” di Phyllida Lloyd; la trasposizione filmica del musical che ha sbancato Broadway, interpetata da Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth e dalla giovanissima Amanda Seyfried. All’indomani dell’uscita americana (in Italia è previsto il 3 ottobre), “Mamma Mia!”, che è ambientato nell'isola di Skiathos in Grecia, sarà proiettato sullo spettacolare schermo sull’acqua nella baia di Lacco Ameno. ‘’Una scelta di grande suggestione che ha convinto l’Universal a puntare su Ischia – spiega Giancarlo Carriero, presidente dell’Accademia Internazionale Arte Ischia che con l’Azienda Turismo Ischia e Procida co-produce l’Ischia Global Fest – Un evento che vuole esaltare il sentimento ‘mediterraneo’ dell’opera culto grazie alla musica dei leggendari Abba. Siamo certi - conclude Carriero - che il Gala di “Mamma Mia!” sarà un vero e proprio evento e che la musica degli Abba, gruppo icona degli anni ’70, si imporrà anche nella Penisola come la colonna sonora dell’estate 2008’’. Sul ritmo di “Dancing Queen”, “S.O.S.”, “Money, Money, Money” e “Take a Chance on Me”, ‘Mamma Mia!, racconta una storia romantica e divertente che parla di una madre, di una figlia e di vecchi amori. “Mamma Mia!” è la prima delle grandi “Premieré Kimbo” annunciate per il 6° Global Fest promosso dal 13 al 20 luglio con il sostegno della Direzione Generale Cinema e Spettacoli dal vivo del MIBAC e dell’Assessorato al Turismo della Regione Campania. SATURDAY, JULY 19th A GREAT GALA for THE FILM-TRIBUTE TO ABBA ISCHIA 31/05/07 – The legend of Abba will come back to life on Saturday, July 19th at Regina Isabella (Ischia) with the Italian premiere of “Mamma Mia!” by Phyllida Lloyd, the cinematic adaptation of the Broadway record-shattering musical hit, featuring Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth and the young Amanda Seyfried. After the American release (in Italy the film will open on October 3rd) “Mamma Mia!”, set on the Greek Island of Skiatos, will be screened on the spectacular floating silver screen in the Lacco Ameno bay. ‘’An extraordinary and very magic location that has convinced Universal to bet on Ischia,“ explains Giancarlo Carriero, chairman of Accademia Internazionale Arte Ischia which, together with Azienda Turismo Ischia e Procida is co-producing Ischia Global Fest. “This is an event that aims at extolling the “Mediterranean” flavor of this cult-musical thanks to the music of the legendary Abba. We are certain”, concludes Carriero “that the “Mamma Mia!” Gala will be a real event and that Abba’s music, a leading iconic band of the 70s’ , after conquering the Green Island, will become the hit of the summer 2008. Following the rhythm of songs such as “Dancing Queen”, “S.O.S.”, “Money, Money, Money” and “Take a Chance on Me”, ‘Mamma Mia!, tells a romantic and entertaining story with a mother, a father, a daughter and some old lovers. “Mamma Mia!” is the first of the several great “Premiere Kimbo” announced for the 6th Global Fest to be held from July 13th through 20th with the support of the General Department of Cinema and Live Shows of MIBAC and by the Department for Tourism of Regione Campania.
